Those Simple Words – Sad Poems

For many years I thought I knew,
those simple words to say.
That simple phrase that flows so true,
yet seems so far away.

I searched my heart and searched my soul,
they offered no advice.
I searched my head and paid the toll,
my heart was turned to ice.

A thousand million moments spent,
without you in my sight.
A chanced meet, my calm is rent,
a touch of Heaven’s might.

I sit here now, within my shell,
a hellstorm inside wreaks.
For should I shy, or should I tell,
the words the thunder speaks.

I know not what to say to whom,
nor what to think or do.
It’s just right now there’s only room,
To think and think of you.
