Not the girl you always believed I’d be,
Or was I just the one that got away,
To you, maybe I was something special.

You actually believed this could last forever,
Oh, how naive can you actually be, darling?
Usually, I don’t feel sorry for saps like you,
Really now, do you think I’m the marrying kind?

Probably letting the tears race down your cheeks,
Right now staring at all the words I said to you,
Is that moment actually replaying in your head?
Now that it’s over, I must say you were fun,
Can you still think of me as your princess?
Each time I come to your mind, I hope you cry,
So, that you actually know you’re still alive, hun,
So how does it feel to know I’m not your princess?
(Poem by Heather)

Silence, gently interrupted by rain drops softly kissing their bedroom window
Wind chimes began to serenade the end of day, as a humming breeze begins to blow
Moonlight lit the evening sky covered cozy behind clouds creating not a single shadow
Befitting be the scenery for the death of something oh so, Beautiful

Need no words be spoken for the atmosphere says it all
Love no longer lives here, just proof it once existed hanging on the walls
Like the droplets on their window her tears begin to fall
(Poem by Poeticbloodline)

This world is so cold
Our souls are sold
Before we are old enough
To realize that gold
Possessions we hold
Are nothing compared
To the treasures untold
Of the love that was lost
Before all the frost
Before we counted the cost
We chose not to share
Not to care
Or be fair
We made love rare
Made it harder to bear
Made it harder to breathe
Left us gasping for air
It just isn’t fair
(Poem by Jacoblem)

You see,
I once had this nightmare.
It was called life,
and yet in this nightmare,
was the dream that was most beautiful.
It was something that is called love.
But my dream became curropted and mangled with the nightmare,
and now all i have left,
is a broken heart, a broken dream, and a broken soul.
So now I yearn for the one day,
that this nightmare may end
and the one day that i might find love again.
(Poem by Katelyn Rachelle Becht)

A life created is not mine,
here beats a heart that will be fine.
We come to visit, but may not stay,
we hope we’ll come another day.

A soul that beats will sing a song,
It lets you know there’s nothing wrong.
We can’t control a star that shines,
the light has travelled throughout time.

Sometimes the light may flicker out,
that doesn’t mean we have to shout.
A light that shines is something good,
the message should be understood.

The light it brings a lot of hope,
It shines it’s love on different folk.
A light will never ever die,
It soul will always fly so high.

It never dies,
but it may change.
This is something that is strange.
Remember never hold it down,
love and light could always drown.
(Poem by Ian McEwan)

First you broke your promise
Then you broke my heart
Can’t remember when I stopped caring
Hell, can’t remember why I’d ever start
You’re the cause of us coming together
And the reason we fell apart
Now you encase my nightmares
And my deepest thought
You’re the reason I started loving
(Poem by Dillon Bennett)
